Below are a few ways in which you can enjoy life in South Africa this weekend.
‘That 80’s Show’ will be at the Vodacom Ampitheatre
Live music of well-known artists such as Cindy Lauper, U2, Stevie Wonder, Sting, Michael Jackson, Queen, Roxette, Tina Turner and a whole bunch of others.
‘Arts in the Park’ at St Georges Park Cricket Ground
I used to go to this as a kid. It’s an arts and crafts market spread across the park’s lawns. Ideal for hobbyists and collectors. There are also many food stalls.
Jazz and Cheese Fondue
Delheim Wine Farm will host this event every Sunday starting this weekend. Enjoy some hot cheese fondue to combat the chilly winter weather while swaying to some live jazz music.
12:30pm – 5pm.
R150 per person.
The main event dominating East London this weekend is the Harbour Festival. You can read all the details at that link.
There is also a Seafood Evening being hosted by the King Williams Town Child and Youth Care Centre.
It’ll be on Friday 22nd from 7pm to 9:30pm at the KWT Golf Club.
Entry R120 per person.
Engelbert Humperdinck will be performing at Carnival City on Friday and Saturday evening (22 – 23 June)
A major musical player in the 70’s and ’80’s, Humperdinck had artists such as The Carpenters and Jimi Hendrix opening for him.
Tickets range from R260 – R520 per person
Enjoy the Weekend!
