Here’s an inspirational quote to kick off your week this Monday.
A while ago I posted about the importance of Thomas Edison’s inventions. He was a remarkable man who took ten thousand attempts at some of his work before he found success.
Yet he always refused to give up, regardless of how frustrating it must have been to not get his project up an running. He must have had some discouraging moments of despair, and I don’t know if he felt like giving up, perhaps it crossed his mind often.
But the important thing is that he never ever gave up, and in doing so, he etched his name, and accomplishments, into the history books forever and literally changed the world.
A Quote about Never Giving Up
So in that vein, this week’s quote comes from author Dale Carniege, who in the 1920’s developed many courses in self-improvement and public speaking. He is probably best known for his self-help book ‘How to Win Friends and Influence People’. The book was first published in 1936 and has since sold 15 million copies world-wide.
He said:
“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”
Keep Trying and Never Give Up!
