Last night we went to go watch Centrestage’s Gino Fabbri performing his solo act (well, solo, but he is well supported by by his ‘side-chick’, the talented Donna Africa).
He does a great comedy act which is entitled Funni Galore.
He follows up his funny act with a demonstration of his drumming skills. Even with his success in comedy he asserts that the drums are still his number one passion.
He has put together a brilliant seven-and-a-half-minute video medley of the Evolution of Drums. He describes it as a nostalgic journey through all the decades of music “starting at the fifties and going all the way to the kak they call music today.” 🙂
