George Bernard Shaw was a famous Irish author and playwright. His most well-known work was probably his play “Pygmalion” (also known as My Fair Lady).
He is the only person to have been awarded both a Nobel Prize (for Literature in 1925) and an Oscar (for his work on the Pygmalion movie in 1938). Winning a Nobel Prize entitles the winner to 10 million Swedish Kronor (about 10 million Rand). Shaw rejected the monetary award, and instead requested the funds be used to finance translation of Swedish books to English.
He spoke quite passionately about not wasting your life in one of his more famous quotes:
“If you take too long to decide what to do with your life, you’ll find you’ve done it.”
So dont keep waiting for conditions to be perfect before you do your next big thing. Just go for it, and live every day.
