Here is a great opportunity for South African consumers.
(NO Longer Available) is a company which sends out FREE boxes of groceries and toiletry products to members. There is no charge, no hidden costs and you don’t even have to pay for the postage; it is shipped to you free of charge.
The only thing you have to do is use the products (cool!) and rate the items on the Home webpage. So you just basically say if you thought it was a good product or not, and would you be prepared to pay for it in a shop. Very simple, and no downside.
As a member you will be notified by email to apply for a hamper of grocery products to test. If you apply in time, the box will be posted to you free of charge and all you have to do in return is fill out one online questionnaire about the product you just tested.
And when you’re not receiving free boxes of goods, you can still go to the site and read reviews from other consumers which will help you with your next shopping excursion.
It’s perfect place to get uncensored ratings and reviews about latest products in the market. I’ve already signed up and am awaiting my first hamper, so go check it out 🙂

I have been a member for over 2 years! The Home Tester club state that free samples are sent out monthly. That has not been the case with me. I have received products very irregularly.
Would love to know who I could complain to about it.

They do seem to have quite a few good competitions though.
If you felt strongly about it, you could perhaps mention it on hellopeter.com.
Although, I would suggest first sending an email to tafadzwa(at)hometesterclub.com – HTC states they will publish all comments made by members (as long as they are neither profane nor offensive) and invite other members to give opinions.
I am also a member for a while already and have been promised boxes many times and they have even given me tracking numbers… yet the courier company never knows anything about it and i have never recieved my boxes! Its false advertising if you ask me!

It sounds like they started off with a bang, with thousands of happy customers, but now they seem to have gone off the boil a bit.
Maybe they never expected (and prepared for) such a big success and they’re battling to keep up with the demand.
It’s a pity because I think they had a great idea.
They still have a lot of competitions which they run often. I’ve taken part in quite a few of them and they’re pretty fun.
I hope your experience with them improves in the future. And I hope Home Tester Club realizes that there are people unhappy with their service and do something to rectify it.
