This week’s quote is:
“Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine”.
Laughter and a good mood have been shown to strengthen the immune system, assist in preventing heart disease and be a natural energy booster.
The quote comes from Lord Byron who was an English poet in 19th century. He is regarded as one of the greatest British poets and to this day his work is still widely read. He was not only famous for his literary work, but for his colorful lifestyle as well. He lived large and was once described as “mad, bad and dangerous to know” – maybe not the best reputation 🙂
He was also revered for fighting in the Greek War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire (which is now Turkey). He died in April 1824 at the age of 36.
So this week, take the advice of the ostentatious Lord Byron and always laugh when you can!
