Bridgette Hartley wins Olympic Bronze Medal for SA

See: Bridgette Hartley makes it to the Olympic Final

South Africa’s Bridgette Hartley secured the coutry’s first Bronze Medal of the 2012 London Olympics when she came third in the Women’s canoe sprint K2 500m.

First place went to Hungary’s Danuta Kozak. The silver medal was won by Ukraine’s Inna Osypenko-Radomska who beat Hartley by 0.23 seconds.

Hartley finished the race in a time of 1:52.923 minutes and can be extrememly proud of the Bronze Medal.

Her podium finish takes SA to five medals and 20th place overall.
