It’s quite hard to have a healthy relationship and enjoy a hobby at the same time because there are not enough hours in the day. Most people work long hours and by the time they get home at night and have dinner there isn’t long left until it’s time to go to bed.
If you’re a member of a sports club it can take up the rest of your night. You can either spend time with your partner, or you can go out and play sport with your friends. How can you possibly choose what to do? Maybe you don’t have to because there is a third option: You could find a sport that both you and your partner love and you can play it together whenever you want. It means you get to spend time together and enjoy a sport.

Golf is one of those amazing sports that can be played at any age, so if you’re a little older you don’t have anything to worry about. During the week you can hit balls together at the driving range and at the weekend you can play a whole course.
Because you’re not running around like a crazy person it’s the perfect environment for talking at the same time as playing. Just make sure you’re quiet when someone is ready to hit a shot.
Although you won’t be able to talk as much when you’re playing tennis it’s still one of those sports where you can have a lot of fun hitting the ball back and forth. You see lots of couples playing with bats and a ball on the beach and tennis is just a step up from that. If you are friends with another couple who are interested in playing you can all go together and play doubles. It makes it a lot more interesting and you will win or lose together.
Squash is like the extreme equivalent of tennis. You’re still smashing a little ball around expect it’s at a much faster pace. This would probably be better for couples that are already fit, or ones hoping to become fitter than ever before in their lives. Another great thing about squash is that it’s played indoors so it doesn’t really matter what the weather is like. You’ll also only be able to play for about an hour each time because it’s so taxing on your body.
If you’ve never snowboarded before you’ll be happy to know it’s easy to learn. You’re basically just standing there while you slide down a mountain. There is more involved than that, but not much. You could even ski instead if you wanted to. The reason it’s a great sport to take up is because it will give you something to do it winter, plus if you become addicted to it you can go on holiday to some of the best ski resorts in the world. Everyone should know how to ride a bike and cycling on a road bike is easy once you practice a little. If you don’t want to ride a bike with thin tires and strange handlebars you can always use a mountain bike. When it’s hot outside you will love going for long tours of the countryside and you can even throw a picnic inside your backpack and stop somewhere for lunch. Just like snowboarding there is also the option to go on cycling holidays all over the world.
